Holidays?

I cannot remember when I took this photo. But this was taken on my cousin's birthday at Din Tai Feng. Ate this yummy "Kuey". It tasted sweet, fluffy as cotton candy though the outer appearance looks...weird. Good food does not have to be nice-looking all the time.
Back to week 2 of Sept.
Monday (8/09/08) - Holland Village is really
small!!!
I tried the Kuay Tiao at the market instead of dining at the restaurants. The difference? THEY HAVE FAT AND FRESH BEANSPROUTS. What's more, they added alot into the fried noodle and also alot of dark sauce. Overall, it's really nothing special except that I'm fascinated by the BIG taugay they used.
I was brought to a bakery shop, was told to be some angmo country's bakery shop (eh, I can't remember which country.) But when I saw the bread tag, they included japanese words in their menu. How strange! They had lots of Jap customers? I don't know coz I didn't ask them. Anyway, their bread really tasted great! I bought 3 at one go. The picture above is a chocolate filled bun. Their chocolate filling is awesome! Tasted like dark chocolate! I dislike buttery cream , but this really tasted like real dark chocolate melts! The other one that I would recommend is the ball shape donut. It is dusted with sugar on the outer, but the bread itself is salty. Their bread mix tasted different from the other types you can get outside. It tasted like mochi - very chewy but a lil' crisp on the outer to bring its taste like a bun.
Next, I went to eat the ice-cream opened just opposite of Haagan Daaz. Very special shop. They have lots of toppings to choose from. From chocolates to candies. I bought the caramel fudge. Very mouth-watering. I love it. But I chose the wrong flavours for ice-cream. It tasted a little strange. Slacked outside the ice-cream shop with my cell friend. Talked alot. Get to know her better. We went back home at 9pm after a tiring day out at the Holland Village. It's really small, but going rounds and rounds did makes us tired.
9/09/08 (Tuesday) - Job hunt? I guess not.
It's cancelled. So, I stayed at home. I almost went mad. Thankfully, my dad called and asked me for dinner. Why not? So I went down, bought some groceries at the market, and dad treated me a good meal. Not too bad...at least I didn't rot.
10/09/08 (Wednesday) - Day at Bugis
We headed down to Bugis at 6pm. Saw Kendrick at Bugis Junction while we were on the way to the duck rice stall recommanded by my friend. What a coincidence!
We talked about our lives currently. Both has grown more matured. Not really into shopping today coz we were really broke. Hahaz! So I'm not the only one. But in the end, it turned up that I'm the only one who bought something at Muji before we left the area.
We coat her nails with the sample nail polish.
11/09/08 (Thursday) - Mooncake making
I received many phone calls by various people in the morning. A little irritated because I'm still sleeping, a little lack of rest. Woke up, got changed and went to meet my big aunt, grandma before heading to Compassvale area for the mooncake making at my small aunt's house.
Picture of the day:

Snowskin mooncake in 2 colours.
The bonds did made me feel better.
*What's done is done. I know I can do better, for the sake of them.
To my dad, though high chances you won't be reading my blog. But this is dedicated for you:
I know you dotes on me. But many times, I still makes you worry.
You are never the type who grows many white hairs, perhaps due to inheritance.
But recently, I spotted a few.
You treated me like your friend, I felt the way you felt too.
And this time, I disappointed you again, when I broke the news to you.
I thought you would scold me, put me down like you did as a traditional father.
And indeed, you said something which makes me felt discouraged.
I knew I am a goner, but later, you elaborated on your words,
I finally understood. And know that you care for me.
Though you don't say it. But deep inside, I know you care about me.
If you just happened to see this, I just want you to know:
I love you, Dad.
And for those who are reading my blog, I hope you guys would cherish the ties with your families. Though it may be difficult at times, but their contributions to the family is never ending, yet often hidden.
