Baby, he's tempted by the cake! :)

I'm officially 18 on 290109. Went home at 7pm that day, so didn't intend to have any celebration. Thanks to my cousin, I had a surprise party at my house. She bought a cake and came over to celebrate it with me, along with her husband, my aunt, my uncle, my brother, and my mum.

This is the first time I had a cake on my actual birthday after so long as most of the time, bakery shops are not open during the period of CNY. My brother gave me an ang bao, though he's not married. My dad also gave me an ang bao, and filled the coin bank for me, just in case I run out of money, that would come handy.

Here's an conversation with him while he drove me to school.

Dad: *totally forgets my birthday date* Are you going to give me a treat? (He always pops up with very random questions)

Me: Why must I?

Dad: Hey! Why not? You must take care of me when I'm old...*continues in his grumbling*

*5min later*

Dad: What's the date today?

Me: 29 Jan *Knows that he has no clues of my birthday*

Dad: Which day on Feb is your birthday?

Me: It's today!!!

Dad: *looks at me in an exaggerating manner* WHAT?! TODAY!! *laughs embarassingly* I thought it's Feb!!

Me: ... *Angry to say anything, but couldn't help laughing coz of his funny reaction*

Dad: Looks like I've got to give you a treat...

He wanted to fill it to the brim, but I came knocking at the door while he is filling it with coins. Hence, its only 3/4 full. I was so touched. Anyway, I made an accessory for the robot that day.

He had another present for me which I have not receive till this day.

It's a finger food recipe book! I'm exhilarated after sawing the cover page...Who wants a mini burger??? Bought to me by the cell, they sure knows cooking is my interest.

Cooking creates the new out of simple things.

Got this from two Sec 4 girls whom I've taken care of in my secondary school days. Though I don't like dolls/bears/toys, but thanks alot! =) Err...Perhaps I'll play with it when I'm bored.

Life couldn't be more beautiful than having a warmth family. This is the first time I ever remember in my memory of so many relatives celebrated birthday with me. Though its rather ordinary, but it simply brightens up my day.
